The Virginia Trip Kenny’s friends came over on midnight, the day before Thanksgiving and the next day we left for Virginia. It was a great drive. Almost 9 hrs and very scenic. It was great weather too. We stayed in a motel that night and the next. It was so exciting cos I’d never done that in my life. *laughs* For dinner we couldn’t find any restaurant open that evening b’cos of Thanksgiving day so we made sandwiches and ate them in the motel. It was fun. We played antakshari till 1:00.. all sidey and silly songs.. and the next day went to the Luray Caverns. It was so cool!!!! It’s a gorgeous place. And the way they have made it accessible to people were fantastic. Well, the next day we went to Shenandoah natural bridge and the wax museum. That was really something. WOW!! The wax figures were so real at times we almost mistook them for people. We drove thru umm.. five states I think. Virginia, W. Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia & Delaware. Hey while in Maryland we went to Washington D.C. WOW!! The White House was way cool!! And the city was amazing. Kenny and me are planning to go for a longer while and visit the museums and all soon.
Well, on Sat back home I treated the guys to an Italian place and _they_ had a surprise for me. A whole bunch of waiters/waitresses came and sang happy birthday with a cake and all at our table. *grins* Only - the song was in Italian so I couldn’t understand a thing. It was sweet tho’. Next day after mass, Kenny and his pal cooked the lunch and another surprise waited for me. They had 3 dozen balloons, a big white cake, with a candle that played happy birthday after it’s lit *roundeyed* and a whole bunch of Kenny’s friends over for lunch. It was so so cute!! I got an antique glass candle holder, a clay Apache Indian and cute jewelry box. It was like Christmas. I had a real fun evening.
